No, but really you guys, this show rules.
Here at HeyKiki, we really like our TV. And we really like our yoga lessons in NYC, too. But while some things just naturally go together – peanut butter and jelly, Woody Allen and New York, “Spongebob Squarepants” and controlled substances – most of our favorite characters from our favorite TV shows probably wouldn’t last very long on the mat. Yet this also makes the juxtaposition between the two even more amusing, and as such, we’ve compiled a list of the TV characters that would be funniest to imagine in yoga lessons in NYC.
Louis C.K. – Louie
Louis C.K. doing anything is funnier, and generally also sad, fascinating, and loaded with sweet, sweet pathos. This season alone we’ve seen him struggle to successfully take his shirt off at the beach (as well as end a relationship with a woman he’s decidedly not happy with). A yoga episode of “Louie” would not only be hilarious, but true to form, would probably speak volumes about the human condition. Also, please watch “Louie,” guys.
Ron Swanson – Parks and Recreation
Ron Swanson doing anything is comedic gold. Therefore, Ron Swanson doing yoga is comedic gold. It’s science.
Jesse Pinkman – Breaking Bad
This might not be that funny on its own, but the prospect of hearing Jesse address his yoga instructor with “Yo” at the beginning and “b*tch” at the end of every sentence is pretty priceless in and of itself.
Adam, Blake, and Ders – Workaholics
There’s no question that this would end horribly, presumably with a lawsuit of some kind for our central trio of hard-partying “heroes,” yet that’s exactly what makes it such an enticing prospect. Knowing the show, Adam might even find some way to accidentally injure himself while attempting a ridiculous pose, and that sounds amazing.
