Jazz piano is an exclusive form that is a blend of different genres of music. To learn jazz piano, beginners should follow certain steps that will help them to enjoy and learn quickly:

Listen Carefully: This is the first step to learn music. If you want to learn jazz piano, finding various recordings of the same song and listen to very carefully.
Learn the Scales: After learning the very basic theory, it is advisable to learn all the 12 major scales of the music. This will greatly contribute to your learning process. You should also learn to read basic music.
Learn Important Majors and Minors: It is advisable to learn the major 7th (1 3 5 7), minor 7th (1 b3 5 b7), dominant 7th (1 3 5 b7), half diminished (1 b3 b5 b7), and diminished chord (1 b3 b5 bb7) of each and every key. This will help you to learn jazz piano quickly.
Be comfortable: Practice specifically with the difficult scales so that you are comfortable while playing in front of a group.
Practice with a Song Book: Buy a good song and practice with it persistently.
Practice Practice and Practice: Practicing is the only key to learn music, no matter how it sounds you should practice the music as much as possible.
