Yoga for Babies: Is it Safe?

These days yoga for toddlers has become a great option. There are number of poses that you can easily practice along with your baby. According to recently conducted research, yoga can help babies grow.

Now there are special classes for mommies and babies that help parents to learn yoga along with their infants.
Baby Yoga Poses: Some easy baby yoga poses help a lot in the growth of the child. Some of them are listed here:
Baby planet: To practice this pose the parent lifts the baby’s arms to one side and then to the other side and can also bring baby’s arm to its chest for a good stretch exercise.

Corkscrew: As for this pose, the baby needs to be placed on his/ her back and then the  lower portions of the baby’s body are rotated with the fingers.

Down Dog: This pose involves keeping the hands and feet of the baby on the floor while the hips are elevated.

Benefits of baby yoga

Bonding: Doing yoga together with your babies improves parental bonding. It makes parents aware of their baby’s wants.

Helps to maintain balance: Regular yoga can help a baby to improve their body balance.

Helps to improve Digestion: Some specific poses helps to improve the digestive system of the baby.

Help to maintain immune system: Yoga also helps the baby to strengthen their immune system.

If you are practicing yoga with an infant then you should take special care while practicing different poses. Parents should only practice positions with their baby as instructed, and should not experiment on their own.
