Yoga has solutions to all kinds of problems. It is the natural therapy that helps you to heal your health problems very easily without any medication. All you need is stamina, will power and determination to pursue yoga regularly and yes you can see the wonderful results in few days only. Yoga is not only the health healer but also the soul feeder. It helps you to keep calm and content.
A yoga routine can guide you for various activities starting from morning till you go to bed. There is also a specific ‘yoga routine’ that will help you to have a sound and proper sleep.
Here are some exercises, known as ‘Yoga before Bed.’ These exercises are advised by experts for proper sleep and good health. We recommend some of the very effective poses that you can easily practice on your bed.
Upside down pose – Get seated facing towards your bed board. Then lie back comfortably and put your legs up on your bed board. Then gently leave your arms on side with open palms and breathe tenderly feeling the stretch in your back and legs. You can try other way also. It relaxes your mind and body. This exercise is recommended for 2 minutes at one go.
Seated Twists- Sit calmly on your bed and then twist around towards the back. Hold this position for some seconds and then repeat it to other side. This is a very helpful exercise for your waist, back and neck.
Forward Bend- Sit straight on your bed extending your legs. Then gently stretch out your arms in front. This exercise is good for hips as well as your back.
After you have successfully completed these poses, then it’s time for short meditation that will release all your stress and helps you to get tension free sleep. For short meditation just sit up slightly in lean position with folded legs and rest your hands on thighs and concentrate on your breathing for few minutes.
Now you are ready for a good night’s sleep.
